Calculating percentage of weight loss is pretty simple. Take your beginning weight and subtract your current weight. Then take that number (which is the amount of pounds lost) and divide it by your beginning wieght and that will give you a decimal then multiply that by 100.
Example: 150lbs (start weight)-148lbs (current weight)=2 pounds divided by 150=0.013 then multiply that by 100 so that =1.3%

I have started my teaching journey after raising my three girls. Currently I am teaching first grade at a Montessori school and am excited to see what the future holds.
2. Mandatory weigh in will be at Sarah Stoddard's house at 9:30 am, Sat., April 4th. If you CANNOT make it to her house, let Jen know and we can work something out! We end on Saturday, June 20th with a mandatory weigh in at Sarah's.
3. After the weigh in you can choose to attend all of the eleven meetings after or you can weigh in via this blog.
4. When you weigh in you can enter it on the corresponding week by clicking on "comment" below the entry. For example: the title would be: Week Two Weigh In. I will have a couple of questions below the title for you to answer. You will answer them by clicking on "comment" and entering in your answers.
5. You MUST weigh in every week at least via the blog.
6. On week twelve we will have a celebration and a mandatory weigh in to determine the winner.
7. The entry fee is $10.00 out of the ten dollars we will take 3 dollars to pay for the information we will be adding to the blog and copies made for information. The remaining seven dollars for each person will go toward the winners. The more people we have the larger the pot so ask your friends to join.
8. The break down percentage of the pot goes like this: The first place man=35% of the pot, the first place woman=35% of the pot and the second place winners will each get 15 % of the pot.
10. If you attend the class you need to go to the "Weight Loss Challenge" website (link under support links above) and download the weeks materials, if you are doing this only by web you can download them as well
11. Please check with your doctor before you begin any weight loss program/fitness or diet.
